A festive brand identity and interactive packaging system inspired by Mardi Gras culture. The goal was to create an immersive, celebratory experience that extends beyond the product itself.

Process

A full rebrand of Caluda’s King Cakes centered around a custom typeface I developed specifically for the brand and applied consistently across all packaging and visual touchpoints. The identity draws from the vibrancy and tradition of Mardi Gras, using bold color, pattern, and typography to create a cohesive and recognizable system.

The project expands beyond traditional packaging through the development of the “Party Box,” a multi-component experience designed for those unable to attend Mardi Gras in person. The box includes coordinated elements such as a king cake package, a hurricane drink kit, branded glassware, and festive materials like beads and confetti. Each component was designed to work together as part of a unified system, transforming the product into an immersive at-home celebration.
